18th Century : Shallow domed leather barrel wheel castor with brass washers.
Option : Three 5/8" No. 2 slotted countersunk colour-matched brass screws.
Option : This casting is supplied at a budget price with a basic machine tumble polished finish which is rather dull caused by minute pitting from bead blasting. We can buff polish by hand to a smooth finish as an option if selected by clicking on the OPTION box above, or supply machine polished if left unticked.

Traditional leather wheel prevents scratching polished surfaces and runs quietly on a wooden floor.
* Historical note: One original use may have been for a cheese coaster containing a complete round cheese which would have been wheeled along a dining table from person to person. Additionally, some light delicate Pembroke and Sutherland tables are mounted on leather wheeled castors.
